For the last two days I have actually been to services, where there is a real minyan and on one those days I got to witness the Bat Mitzvah of a girl I’ve known since she was 6 years old!!! My son will be doing the same Torah portion next year!!
Brad Ausmus, C – Los Angeles Dodgers
Brad, didn’t play in the Dodgers’ victory over the Padres.
Ryan Braun, OF, 3B – Milwaukee Brewers
Ryan went 1-for-4, with a strikeout in the Brewers loss to the Diamondbacks. He lowered his average to .314 and extended his streak to 171 errorless games. He still seems to be in a minor slump.
Craig Breslow, P – Minnesota Twins
Craig didn’t pitch in the Twins victory over the Royals.
Scott Feldman, P – Texas Rangers
Scott took a shutout into the sixth inning in his second start of the season. He allowed one hit through five innings against the ChiSox, retiring the first 11 batters and recorded the first two outs of the sixth before running into trouble. He gave up singles to Chris Getz and Josh Fields before walking Carlos Quentin, which caused Manager Ron Washington to yank him from the game.
Unfortunately, Derek Holland,
I don’t think Scott will be picking up the tab for this guy anytime soon!
who relieved him, gave up a 3-run double to Jim Thome, and ruined Scott’s nice outing! Scott allowed three runs, three hits and a walk in 5 2-3 innings. He also struck out 3 batters.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better job from Feldman,” Rangers manager Ron Washington said.
John Grabow, P, Pittsburgh Pirates
John relieved starter Zack Duke and promptly gave up a solo shot to Brandon Phillips! Not a good start to his second consecutive relief performance in which he was scored on. He also walked and picked off Reds 3B Adam Rosales, before he got out of the inning. His ERA rose to 2.38.
Gabe Kapler, OF – Tampa Bay Rays
Gabe didn’t play in yesterday’s win over the BoSox.
Ian Kinsler, 2B – Texas Rangers
Ian went 1-for-3, hitting another leadoff homer (the 7th in his career and the 8th this season) and knocking in another run with a sac fly in the 3rd. He’s now batting .323.
Ian touching home after his leadoff homer.
Jason Marquis, P – Colorado Rockies
Jason didn’t start yesterday in the Rockies game against the Giants. He is slated to pitch later today and I think he did great!
Scott Schoeneweis, P – Arizona Diamondbacks
Scott didn’t pitch in the Diamondbacks win over the Brewers.
Kevin Youkilis, 1B, 3B – Boston Red Sox
Youk went 2-for-3, with 2 doubles, a walk and scored a run in yesterday’s loss to the Rays. After briefly dropping below the .400 mark, Youk is now batting .405.
Macher (Big Shot) of the Day – Scott Feldman
Welcome to the club, bubbula!!
